It turned out perfectly, with zebra stripes and pink flowers with a big #6 on top all in fondant. I'm not a big fan of sweet stuff but the cake got me hooked. It was coconut cake with raspberry filling. We loved it so much, that my fiance (now wife) and I asked Illuminated Oven to do our wedding cake and our favors. We had the coconut cake with lemon curd filling plus a gluten-free grooms cake to match as we both have family members who are GF. We had no idea they did confections, but at the cake tasting we decided to do the Italian nougat for favors. Everything was beautifully presented and I was really impressed with how the owner worked with us. Of all the headaches we had planning the wedding, the cake was not one of them.February 23, 2017
